Infographic showing Compass Group Product Manager salary ranges and compensation factors for 2025

The strongest recent 2026 benchmark for a U.S. Compass Group Product Manager is $140,000 to $150,000 in base salary. A more specialized Client Master Data Product Manager posting listed $150,000 to $165,000 plus bonus eligibility. Both roles are closed, so use them as recent requisition benchmarks rather than current company-wide bands.

For a similar offer, $140,000 to $149,999 falls within the first posting, $150,000 sits in both, and $151,000 to $165,000 falls within the specialist posting. A senior title needs separate evidence: three certified 2026 Compass Group USA labor filings in Texas reported wage ranges up to $210,000, but those records are not actual employee pay or a public salary band.

Do not assume a company-wide PM bonus target or equity grant; confirm both in writing. Ask for the exact requisition band, internal level, work location, and benefits.

Compass Group Product Manager salary at a glance

Role evidence Published or filed base salary Role context Best use
Product Manager, Compass Technology $140,000 to $150,000 3 to 5+ years; enterprise product and master-data delivery Compare with an experienced U.S. PM role of similar scope
Client Master Data Product Manager, Compass Data & AI $150,000 to $165,000 At least 4 years as a PM and 5+ years in IT product management; bonus eligible Compare with specialist data or MDM product ownership
Sr. Product Manager, Compass Group USA, Georgetown, Texas Two filings at $90,605 to $210,000; one at $149,240 to $210,000 Three certified FY2026 labor filings Shows $210,000 as the upper end of these specific filed ranges, not an offer target or company band

The first two rows come from recent Compass job postings preserved by job-board listings. The senior figures come directly from employer-filed Department of Labor records. These evidence types answer different questions: a posting shows what Compass advertised for one requisition, while a labor filing records a wage range connected to a specific immigration case.

Pay benchmarks by role

Product Manager

A recent Compass Technology Product Manager listing showed $140,000 to $150,000 in annual base salary. The role asked for 3 to 5 or more years of product-management experience supporting enterprise software, platform, data, or technology products.

Its work centered on backlog management, feature decomposition, sprint planning, delivery tracking, and coordination across engineering and business stakeholders. If your role has similar delivery-heavy scope, this is the most relevant recent benchmark.

The posting used remote wording but was associated with Charlotte, North Carolina. It does not establish a company-wide remote policy or location adjustment. Confirm the approved work state, office schedule, and location used for pay.

Specialist Client Data Product Manager

A recent Client Master Data Product Manager listing showed $150,000 to $165,000 in base salary and said the role was bonus eligible. It required at least four years as a Product Manager and five or more years in IT product management, with experience in master data or a related discipline.

The role covered client-data strategy, roadmaps, KPIs, lifecycle management, and cross-functional delivery. It also listed 20% to 30% travel to Charlotte. Use this range when the new job has similarly specialized data scope. Bonus eligibility applies to that requisition only; the listing did not publish a target percentage or guaranteed payout.

Senior Product Manager

The Department of Labor's FY2026 Q3 disclosure workbook includes three certified, full-time Compass Group USA, Inc. cases titled Sr. Product Manager in Georgetown, Texas:

Case Employer-filed annual wage range Decision date
I-200-26076-709107 $90,605 to $210,000 March 24, 2026
I-200-26077-712967 $90,605 to $210,000 March 25, 2026
I-200-26078-714493 $149,240 to $210,000 March 26, 2026

These are Labor Condition Application records, not salary survey responses. The ranges are too wide to serve as a practical Senior PM target, and they do not show the actual compensation ultimately paid. They also should not be interpreted as three confirmed hires. Their value is narrower: they show that Compass Group USA filed 2026 senior-product wage ranges with an upper bound of $210,000 for those Texas cases.

For a Senior Product Manager offer, request the requisition's internal band rather than adding a percentage to the recent $140,000 to $150,000 PM posting range.

How Compass Group total compensation works

Base salary is the only component quantified across both recent PM postings. Treat every other component according to the written offer and plan documents.

Compensation component What the public evidence supports
Base salary $140,000 to $150,000 for one recent PM posting and $150,000 to $165,000 for a recent specialist data PM posting
Annual bonus The specialist posting said bonus eligible, but no target, formula, or guarantee was published; do not generalize it to other PM roles
Equity or RSUs No standard U.S. Compass Group PM grant is established by the sources used here
Retirement Compass USA lists a 401(k) retirement savings plan; the current public benefits page does not state the match or vesting formula for these roles
Health and insurance Compass USA lists medical and prescription coverage, dental, vision, flexible spending accounts, life insurance, and disability coverage
Other benefits Compass USA lists wellness programs, commuter benefits, voluntary benefits, and associate shopping or discount programs
Sign-on or relocation payment No standard payment is established; include one only if it appears in the offer

The Compass Group USA benefits page says benefits vary by role and company. Request the plan summary for the employing entity and your work location.

A worked compensation example

Suppose the written offer states a $145,000 annualized base salary and does not state a bonus target or equity grant:

Component Value to use
Annualized base salary $145,000
Documented target bonus $0 until terms are supplied
Documented annualized equity value $0 until a grant is supplied
Substantiated target compensation $145,000

The $145,000 base is the midpoint of the recent $140,000 to $150,000 posting. If the offer later states a 10% target bonus, the arithmetic target would be $14,500 and target cash would be $159,500. That 10% figure is hypothetical, not a published Compass target, and the payout would remain variable.

Do not assign value to a possible bonus, equity grant, retirement contribution, sign-on payment, or relocation package until the terms are documented.

How to evaluate a Compass Group PM offer

For a U.S. Product Manager role comparable to the two recent postings, use the following comparison:

Base salary offered Comparison with the recent postings
Below $140,000 Below both posting ranges; ask whether level, scope, or location explains the difference
$140,000 to $149,999 Within the $140,000 to $150,000 PM posting
$150,000 Included in both posting ranges
$151,000 to $159,999 Above the first range and within the specialist range
$160,000 to $165,000 Within the upper part of the specialist range
Above $165,000 Above both recent PM posting ranges; the role may have different or more senior scope

This table is a direct range comparison, not a judgment about the entire market. It is less useful for Associate, Lead, Principal, Director, product-marketing, or product-operations roles.

For a senior offer, the DOL filings show only the upper and lower ends of those three specific filed ranges. Ask for the actual internal range, then evaluate where the offer sits within it.

What changes the right comparison

Internal level and ownership

Confirm whether the job owns delivery for one product, product strategy for a domain, a portfolio, or people management. Similar titles can carry different decision rights and internal grades.

Product domain

Compare your offer with the closest role description. The two recent postings covered enterprise product data and client master data. A role in ordering, hospitality operations, procurement, or another Compass business may use a different range.

Employing team and entity

Compass Technology, Compass Digital, Compass Data & AI, Foodbuy, and other Compass businesses can hire product talent. Ask which entity employs the role and which benefits plan applies. Do not mix this evidence with compensation data for Compass, Inc., the unrelated real-estate company.

Location, office schedule, and travel

The recent postings included remote wording, Charlotte ties, or required travel. They did not publish a standard city premium or remote-pay adjustment. Ask which location determines pay and whether a move would change it.

Recurring and variable pay

Base salary recurs while employment continues. A bonus is at risk, and a sign-on payment normally affects only the first year. Compare recurring target compensation separately from one-time cash.

How to negotiate a Compass Group PM offer

  1. Confirm the internal level and salary range. Ask for the grade and band attached to the requisition.
  2. Use the closest 2026 comparison. Reference $140,000 to $150,000 for a similar enterprise PM role or $150,000 to $165,000 for comparable specialist client-data scope.
  3. Make a base-salary request tied to the job. Connect your request to ownership, domain experience, and the delivery risks you can reduce.
  4. Get bonus terms in writing. Ask for the target, metrics, payout timing, proration, and recent payout history.
  5. Clarify equity. Treat employer-granted equity as zero unless the offer specifies the award, value, and vesting terms.
  6. Resolve location expectations. Confirm office days, approved work location, travel, and whether location changes pay.
  7. Review benefits before accepting. Ask for current health-plan costs, 401(k) terms, eligibility dates, and time-off rules.
  8. Ask about alternatives if base is capped. A sign-on payment, relocation support, additional paid time off, or an earlier compensation review can be requested, but none should be assumed.

A concise negotiation statement could be:

I am excited about the role. Based on its scope and the recent $140,000 to $150,000 Compass Technology Product Manager posting, I was targeting a $150,000 base salary. Is there room to move the offer toward that figure? I would also like to review the bonus target, work-location terms, and benefits in writing.

Questions to ask the recruiter

  • What salary band and internal level are attached to this requisition?
  • Where does the offer sit within the band?
  • Which Compass entity and product team employ this role?
  • What product, portfolio, and people responsibilities define the level?
  • Is the role bonus eligible? If so, what is the target and how is payout determined?
  • Does the offer include an employer-granted equity or long-term incentive award?
  • Which work location determines the salary?
  • What office schedule and travel expectation apply?
  • What 401(k) match and vesting terms apply to this role?
  • When do health and other benefits begin?
  • Is any sign-on or relocation payment available, and does it have a repayment clause?
  • When is the next regular compensation review?
