Introduction
PairD is Deloitte's internal generative AI assistant, first rolled out by Deloitte UK in 2023 to help staff draft content, summarise documents, research topics and write code. For this question I'll assume a version is available to Deloitte USI (US-India) practitioners, who work from offices such as Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Mumbai and Pune supporting US clients. New analysts, many of them fresh B.Tech or MBA graduates from campus hiring, are the group that could gain most from a good assistant: they face unfamiliar consulting language, client templates and quality standards, often while working US hours. Yet new users often try a few prompts, get generic answers, and stop. I'll improve PairD for new USI analysts, moving from clarifying questions to segments, pain points, solutions, prioritisation and metrics.

Clarifying Questions (5 mins)
Why it matters: Sets the starting point. Expected answer (assumption): Yes, as a chat assistant on the firm's secure network with document upload, used mainly for drafting emails and summarising. Impact on approach: Focus on deeper, work-specific use rather than basic access.
Why it matters: Each points to different fixes. Expected answer: Weekly usage among first-year analysts is low (assume 30%), and many who try it say outputs are too generic to use in client work. Impact on approach: Improve relevance and confidence, not just awareness.
Why it matters: Client confidentiality and quality are critical, especially after public cases of AI errors in consulting reports. Expected answer: Client data may be used only in approved, engagement-specific spaces; all client-facing content needs human review. Impact on approach: Build safe defaults and review prompts into the experience.
Why it matters: Aligns the improvement with Deloitte's priorities. Expected answer: Faster ramp-up of new hires and productivity gains in delivery, in line with Deloitte's US$3B AI investment to modernise delivery. Impact on approach: Measure time-to-productivity, not just chat volume.
