Introduction
In July 2023, Wipro launched Wipro ai360, an AI-first innovation ecosystem backed by a commitment to invest US$1 billion over three years in AI, data, research, platforms and consulting, with a goal of training its entire workforce on AI. A key part of this is internal: making Wipro's own delivery teams, the people who write code, test software, run IT operations and process business transactions for clients, AI-first. If Wipro cannot show productivity gains in its own delivery, it cannot credibly sell AI transformation to clients. The question asks how to measure the success of this internal push. I'll cover product context, goals, a North Star, supporting metrics, guardrails, trade-offs, counter metrics and initiatives.
Internal AI adoption programmes often get measured by training completions and tool licences. Those are inputs. Interviewers look for candidates who connect adoption to client-visible outcomes: faster delivery, better quality and more competitive pricing.

Product Context
The "product" here is a bundle: AI training (ai360 learning paths), AI tools (Lab45 AI platform, coding assistants, testing tools, WEGA and WINGS agents) and new ways of working (AI-assisted delivery playbooks).
Key stakeholders:
- Delivery engineers and testers (about 2.3 lakh employees overall): End users of AI tools.
- Project and delivery managers: Responsible for productivity, quality and margins.
- Clients: Expect faster, cheaper delivery and increasingly ask for AI-driven productivity commitments in contracts.
- Wipro leadership and investors: Need evidence that the AI investment improves growth and margins.
- HR and learning teams: Run certification and skills programmes.
User flow for an engineer:
- Complete AI fundamentals and role-specific training.
- Get access to approved tools (code assistants, test generators, Lab45 apps).
- Use tools in daily work, following project-specific guidelines on client data.
- Share prompts, agents and patterns with the team.
- Project reports productivity gains to client and leadership.
Lifecycle stage: scaling. Training and tools are broadly available; the challenge is consistent, measurable use across thousands of projects.
